Upgrading Your Experience - FAQS

1. What construction is happening at the hotel?

We are undergoing multi-million-pound upgrades, with the centrepiece being a new dome-style dining space in the hotel’s courtyard.


As part of the renovations, Marcliffe will introduce a new luxury bridal suite, providing an exclusive space for wedding celebrations. Guest rooms will also be upgraded, with improved air conditioning, refreshed interiors and modernised amenities.


While the work is significant, it is confined to specific areas and should not impact most of our daily operations or your guest experience.

2. How long will the construction last?

The construction is scheduled to take place between April – December 2025. We are committed to completing the work efficiently while minimising disruptions.

3. Will my stay be affected by the construction?

No, the majority of the hotel will remain fully operational, and the Conservatory Restaurant and drawing room, alongside key amenities will not be impacted. We have taken careful measures to ensure a comfortable stay for all our guests. We expect all guest room refurbishment to be completed by September 2025

4. Will there be noise during my stay?

Some noise may be heard during standard construction hours, but we are making every effort to keep this to a minimum. Work will take place between 7:30am – 5pm each day and we have implemented noise reduction measures wherever possible.

5. Will any hotel facilities be closed due to construction?

The majority of our facilities will remain open. However, the walk way to our Courtyard Suite and The Garden Room will have limited access during this time. Please check with our team for the most up-to-date information.

6. Will any events be impacted by the construction?

A small number of events have been affected, and all impacted parties have already been contacted in advance, with solutions implemented that align with their vision. If you have an upcoming event and have any concerns, please feel free to reach out to our events team on events@marcliffe.com
