Coronavirus Statement - 21st March 2020

Firstly, thank you for all your patience during the COVID 19 epidemic.

In light of the UK report and after discussions with Mr Spence and the directors – it is only fair we convey the following information to you all.

The Government have stated that with immediate effect, all restaurants – pubs - leisure facilities etc must close as a prohibition of law by Saturday 21st March 2020.

So it is with extreme sadness we advise you that as of today at 12noon; the Marcliffe will be following suit and will cease trading until further notice. We would like to thank all our loyal customers for their continual support especially during this time of uncertainty.

The Marcliffe will continue to convey all information where possible whilst complying with government requirements.

This has not come easy for us and we, at the hotel, are all as upset with the current situation, locally and globally, as you all are.

Stay strong, safe, look after your loved ones and pray this is a short term pandemic. The hospitality industry must continue to go on and we should stick together during the tough and challenging times ahead. The future is unknown but we will remain united as the Marcliffe family we are renowned for.

 Kind regards
Team Marcliffe
