The Marcliffe Hotel & Spa

We welcome you to the Marcliffe Hotel, Spa and Restaurant

A WARM Scottish welcome to the Marcliffe Hotel Spa and Restaurant - a prestigious and intimate five-star luxury hotel set on scenically ravishing Royal Deeside against a backdrop of 11 acres of beautiful wooded grounds on the western fringe of the historical City of Aberdeen which has achieved a new pre-eminence as Europe’s energy capital.

A sense of comfort and well-being in our guests is the overriding aim of management and markedly cosmopolitan staff. Our 7 suites and 35 bedrooms are all exclusively designed as a restful, elegant refuge for both the businessman and leisure traveller. Antique furniture links with traditional and contemporary styles of fabric to create an atmosphere of comfort and good taste.

In our Conservatory Restaurant, one of four dining areas, the hotplate area is manned by our team of chefs and our menu majors on the finest produce from the Grampian Highlands region - Aberdeen Angus beef, game, fish, shellfish, vegetables, fruit, and preserves to the extent we name our suppliers on our menu. On finer days, meals can be enjoyed al fresco on our south-facing patio.

Our wine cellar boasts more than 400 choice wines and the distinctive, intrinsically comfortable Drawing Room Bar is stocked with no less than 150 exquisite malt whiskies and a scintillating selection of Cognac, Armagnacs and rare European brandies.

Our reception area immediately embraces you with the feel of a country house hotel and a welcoming and homely atmosphere where you instinctively expect the host to be receptionist/chef/barman/general factotum. Original works of art, in watercolour, oils and sculpture, are dotted around the building at strategic points. It is very easy to forget that you are just three miles from the city centre and only eight miles from Aberdeen Airport. You will quickly discover that the Marcliffe Hotel Spa and Restaurant is a very easy place to enjoy.

World-class hunting, shooting and salmon and sea-trout can be arranged by us (and at short notice) throughout Aberdeen and the Grampian Highlands which has recently been rebranded as Aberdeen City and Shire ( Superb golf can be enjoyed on an extensive range of extremely challenging local traditional courses exemplified by three magnificent championship links courses - Royal Aberdeen Golf Club (established 1780), the sixth oldest registered club in the world, Cruden Bay and Murcar.

An intrinsic part of the Marcliffe experience, is our Spa where you will be cosseted and pampered with an intriguing selection of massages, aroma therapy, and facial and body treatments. Our Spa aims to relax, de-stress and indulges you – using authentic ingredients to renew and calm your mind, body and spirit.

Due to the change in the Planning Application from offices to residential, it has been decided to remain open until the end of March, 2015.

However we will be closed the following dates:-

30th of November and 1st December

25th and 26th of December

1st and 2nd of January, 2015

The bedrooms, restaurant, drawing room, private dining, conference facilities and spa will remain open but NO ballroom functions.

My sincere apologies for the confusion. However it is a situation out of my control.

Thank you all for your support and understanding.
